257 weatherby recommendations?
Does anyone have an opinion, BASED ON EXPERIENCE, concerning what they believe to be the BEST , off the shelf loading for deer in the .257 Weatherby Mag? I welcome all comments and suggestions!

Only the strongest constructed bullets will hold up to a close range hit. Nosler partition, Trophy Bonded, Barnes x.

Stick with Weatherby loads, they have a better velocity than the other "premium" loads than others. I've had extremely good performance with the 117 gr Ballistic tips in mine.

zink, I've heard absolute horror stories about ballistic tips "blowing up" (Total fragmentation) upon impact with any bone. Is this not the case? I have not used ANY ballistic ammo for this reason. If I've been misled, please set me straight, and thanx for the input! 0
