AR 18 price
I'm going to have the opportunity to purchase an original AR-18 assault rifle, made by the Sterling Armaments. I haven't seen it but was told he's wanting $800 for it. I've been told that it has an original factory scope on it and it is suppose to be in "like new" condition. Any idea's of value?

The AR 18 is the select fire version. The semi auto version is the AR180. Sterling manufactured the majority of the AR180's. The Costa Mesa and HOWA are a better made rifle. The original scope is a sought after item. 800.00 is a fair price for the Sterling AR180 it is a steal for an AR18. My 2 cents. [8D]

The price as the previous poster noted is fair, "IF" the scope and scope mount ( spring loaded, locks on top of receiver ) is original. And the hinge on the folding butt stock is in excellent condition. This hinge was a piss poor design and the major weak point of the AR-18, AR-180 series rifles. Be sure and verify the above (2) points, before parting with your greenbacks. 0
