EAA Withness "Wonder Finish" & "Steel Wonder" ??
EAA Witness advertises "Wonder Steel" & "Steel Wonder" options. What are they ? Are they platings or surface treatments like Parkerizing ? How durable are they ?

The Wonder Finish is a electrolysis Nickel.It's suppose to be more durable than Stainless Steel.[:)] [^]

But, not all guns cataloged with "wonder" finish may be available. And, they can't be special-ordered. So, either your dealer (or the distributor) has what you want, or you can't get it.

I have a fullsize Witness .45 with the Wonder finish. It's a light grey,non-reflective finish.I like it. 0 -
This is the description from the EEA Site .I don't know where the terms "Wonder Steel" or "Steel Wonder " come from?

My mistake. Specs for EAA "MODEL: "WITNESS S/A STEEL FULLSIZE PISTOL" on EAA's web site lists "Wonder finish" and "Steel wonder".
I have since received an email from EAA simply stating "WONDER FINISH" is a heat treat process on normal steel looks like stainless and "STEEL WONDER" is the steel frame in wonder finish.
I was hoping to find out from GB members if the wonder finish was worth the extra cost.
