can't find specs. on 30.06????

my son just bought a colt light rifle in 30.06....and we wanted to know if anybody knows where we can get any info on this rifle??.....we already tried colts web sight but couldn't find the hunting rifles???......thanks,for your help.............Al....

  Colt at one time bought the rights to manufacture these rifles from Ultra Light Arms. Melvin Forbes the owner of Ultra Light Arms subsequently took back the making of these rifles because of Colt's screw up somewhere along the line. So do a search for either Ultra Light Arms or Melvin Forbes on google or some other search engine.

  The B B notes that a subcontractor ( Saco Defense ) made these for Colt. Production started in 2000. MSR was $779.
