scope for busmaster 308

Any sugestions for a scope on a flat top bushmaster 308, the intent of this is for hunting deer as well as to have at home for protection

    Leupold scopes are my favorite. Magnification and model is up to you and your wallet.

    As for home protection with a .308? May have a little over penetration there buddy. Also a high powered scope is not exactly ideal for CQB. Not to mention what kind of hearing damage there will be from a 308 going off indoors with no plugs in. [:)]

    A shotgun blast is very loud but is great for CQB (in the right hands), and does not pose the same level of over penetration.

    But a 308 for home protection? Oh, I can see it if they have gotten out of your home and are running across the fields/driving away, down the street... but then, you shouldn't be firing at their backside...

    yeah i guess there is no justification for a 308 for home protection, i was just looking for an excuse to bring home a new gun

    Just tell the wife that criminals these days have started to wear Level III armor and you need the extra firepower/high capacity mag to fend off multiple threats. [:D]
