Florida Private Party Sale
I just moved to Florida from California and I have a potential buyer interested in buying a Remington shotgun I own. Nothing exotic or special about it, full stock, regular length barrel, unmodified. I am not a dealer, FFL or C&R, just an average citizen who wants to sell his shotgun within the law. I am concerned about whether or not the sale of this to another Florida resident would require a transfer through FFL or what?
In Sunny California such a sale would require transfer through FFL, fees and the obligatory 10-day wait but I need to find out about the requirements in Florida.
Thanks for any help on this subject.

As long as it is a private transaction, there should be no problem with it.

No problem here in Florida; just make sure you get a copy of your bill of sale to protect yourself. Ask the question of the buyer: are you prohibited in any way from purchasing a gun?

Hey! And welcome to the hurricane state! [8D]
As a Florida FFL, and adhering to the BATFE suggestions, you may sell a firearm to another ADULT Florida resident...it's absolutely legal. But, like the other members and the BATFE suggest, ask for a FLORIDA photo ID and, if you want, a Florida concealed carry permit for your records!
Buy, sell and trade to your hearts content as long as you don't attempt to make a living off of it (without a FFL).
