For accuracy + good looks + functionality I would suggest something like a Kimber or Para-Ordnance if you can get them there.

    Hello Antonio,

Based on your requirement for precision (Americans use the word accuracy), my first recommendation would be to buy a Kimber. The Kimber has OUTSTANDING precision, but is expensive. Otherwise, I would suggest a Colt Government Model 1911 with a decent set of sights and trigger work. Personally, I don't feel any out-of-the-box semi-auto pistol can better the Kimber for precision.

I own both a Kimber and a Colt 1911 and they are two very different pistols. The Colt is not nearly as precise as the Kimber, but it is robust and will get the job done and I don't worry about scratching the finish. The Kimber on the other hand will feed all types of ammuntion and can be used for precision shooting like competition target shooting.

If you get a Colt get the Elite Model, Also make sure it's a Ehanced. It will have a "E" Stamped on the side of the frame right after the SN.

Infinity is also a great pistol.

If you want a double action look at the Sig P220.

Kimber is a good product, but in Italy, Sti Or Infinity have a great cosideration...in the USA, Kimber is good then STI for accuracy, look, and other features...??
Instead Colt is more good then the Colt-clone as Kimber Sti Infinity Para-Ordnance....etc???

Buongiorno Antonio. Have you considered the SIG-Sauer P220 in .45? These are excellent pistols, fine quality, excellent percision and will you give many years of service without trouble. I have visited Italy many times and love the country, where do you live? Ciao.

If you are talking about "out of the box" accuracy, you might want to look at the Para-Ordnance P-14. I have two of them and they both gave outstanding accurace right out of the box (much better than I can hold anymore).HTH

Tanfoglio and EAA make a very good .45acp. They can be modified to be very very good comp. hand gun. Why look out side your own country unless you just want a 1911A1 type. My 2 cents [8D]

Tnafoglio actually MAKES a 1911 type, so I really see little reason to shop our side of the pond! All those mentioned are really nice but the Tanfoglio's are really reasonable even over here! They must be cheaper there in Italy.

STI is a very nice gun, usually more expensive than the Kimber. I don't own one but have friends with lots of $$$ that swear by them.
