j stevens 20 ga shot gun. just trying to fgure out the age. and value if any one can help me.gun has a bolt action trigger,safety on end of barrel, it looks to be a pull out twist safety.model 237 20 GA. single shot. thank you

  Double barrel or single barrel? Hammer(s) or hammerless? What percentage of original metal finish remains? What precentage of original wood finish remains? Answers to these questions will allow a better idea of value.

  Stevens/Savage is a purveyor of utility guns. Bolt action scatterguns made by Stevens are at the very bottom of the barrel. (No pun intended.)
  
  What with no collector interest and very little interest in general, there's not a whole lot of information... Except that Savage is still very much in business.
  
  Value... Depending on condition and the lust of a buyer, somewhere between $35.00 and perhaps $75.00.
