No Web site with the info. your looking for. There is the S&W Collectors Assoc. where you can make requests for info., but that is a members only site. There are S&W forum groups, but, like a person does here you ask your question and wait for an answer.
You can obtain a factory letter from S&W for $30 that will give you date of mfg., where shipped, etc., info.
Lastly, you can obtain a copy of the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson, it is a good starting reference book.
If you only have time to do two things so-so, or one thing well ... do the one thing!0 -
Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson by Supica and Nahas shows the K frame revolver with that serial number was made in 1978-1979. 0
