6.5 STW loading data
I'm looking for some reloading data for a 6.5 STW. Anyone have a favorite load, or know where I should look.

The first link is for light bullets only. The next two are forums that you will have to do searches on for the 6.5 STW. There is plenty of information to get you started on either one. Another suggestion is to contact Mark at Kailua Custom and see what he will tell you about his cartridge, the .264 Thor, which is the 6.5 STW with a 40 degree improved shoulder. His fireforming loads will get you set also.
Quite honestly, this cartridge needs an extremely long barrel to get all of the powder used, to burn completely. It's very inefficient and right up there kicking and screaming with the 6.5-300 WWH and the 6.5 x 68S. But it can be fast, especially when chambered in a barrel at least 30" long. I've found that the .264 Win. Mag. with the shoulder pushed back to create a longer neck, works better. There are several of us that work with this cartridge as well as the 6.5 x 284 for accuracy rather than the all out attack on the speed record. The 6.5 Gibbs works pretty good also. Boyd Heaton is shooting the 6.5 WSSM and quite a few others have tested the 6.5 WSM at 1,000 yards.
