FAL MAGS
I've got a Centery L1A1, built on an Imbel receiver. It only came with one mag.Does it take metric or inch mags? Can it take either? How can I tell a metric mag from an inch mag? Thanks, Brisco

WHICH ONE IS THE MOST RELIABLE FAL MAGAZINE? 0 -
IMHO, the 30 rounders aren't as reliable as the 20's. I had some 20's that were supposed to be from South Africa via Zimbabwe, they were slathered in various shades of house paint, they weren't very reliable, but looked to have been through a war; or atleast an ethnic cleansing or two. The absolute best mags I have were Steyr mags that I bought NIW from Tapco. There are NIW Belgians out there too, but they are a little more expensive that the STEYR mags. I also bought a 100 used assorted surplus mags from a place in TX for $3 each. All but one has worked well so far. Aluminum mags don't drop out of the magwell easily because they will take the shape of the receiver under spring pressure.

Like Rich said http://www.tapco.com is the way to go, out of the 10 steel mags I bought, one I tossed for being a pos.
