Browning upland special conversion to slug gun?

I have a new Browning BPS Upland Special. I would like to buy a barrel for it that has the cantilever scope mounting system. My concern is the back of the vent rib is fixed on the receiver. Will the cantilever clear this? I thinkk it is about 1/4 to 3/8 inch high.
