Yugo Frt Sght Drift

Sight adjustment tool from Cheaper Than Dirt doesn't fit either way
(for windage or height). Must be made for the Chinese mdl.
Tried brass drift and hammer against wood back-up and can't move
this baby.

Q2: Though this Yugo was still in cosmoline, some person has used
an electric vibrating engraver to write a 5-number I.D. on 7
different surfaces, including the blued trigger assembly base and
the rear sight elevation post! Its a Century didstributed arm to
what I thought was a great gun store in KY, from whom I bought.
Has anyone else run into this?

    Don't know about the sight adjustment tool...

    But, these rifles were packed in grease by the Yugoslavian military, they didn't come from the factory like that. Several "grades" were imported, & not all importers got the same grade. Most were in excellent condition, some were literally "new".

    AIM Surplus has sold 3 grades, I believe; I got the "service grade" for $89.95, delivered. It had 1 part with an engraved # on it, & a few tiny dings. The # was obviously added by a military armorer, not the importer or retailer, who could care less. No one knows why nearly new rifles had work done on them. Don't worry, you got a good rifle for the money.

    I got one from them too. My front sight tool didn't fit for elevation changes either, so I took the dremel to it and it works great now. As for windage adjustment, my sight tool worked for that but that was after I cleaned all the cosmoline off of it. It may be making it slip.

    Gun was completely cleaned and reassembled before I tried the sight
    tool. It's the curvature of the sight hood that encroaches the windage positioning of the tool. I suppose grinding the tool is an answer. Thank you both for responding. I rubbed Watco Black Walnut
    into the stock with 400 wet-or-dry and wound up with a surprizingly good looking piece.
