Short 16 ga?

Anybody know who might be loading the short 16 for the older guns? Heard that S&B might but haven't been able to find any. HELP please.

    I'm still looking through my notes but I found this one fairly quickly:

    Scroll to the bottom of the page. These are 2-1/2" 16 gauge not 2-9/16" so know your chamber. I'm on the fly today so I'll check back tonight when I get in.

    Punchie, what gun is it? I use a 'smith here in Lunchbag that will rechamber to 2-3/4" reasonably.

    If you decide to rechamber to 2 3/4 inch you'll detract from original gun value a little. I had it done to my 12 ga Marlin cause I didn't give a hoot about resale value, I just wanted to shoot the old gun some more. Another thing you may want to consider is having your smith alter the forcing cones to a modern configuration. The older chamber is set up for paper only shells. You'll also notice a little less kick to the sholder and better extraction/ejection ability from the gun with your forcing cones shaved out a bit.

    Nononsense: Thanks that is just what I am looking for.

    Laxcoach: It would be for the Grade2, Ithaca Crass. Not a very strong action at all but the gun is in super shape. Haven't checked the chamber on the Ithaca/LeFever yet.
