Gun laws in Mass.

I have a buyer that purchased an M4 carbine I had listed and he is having trouble finding a transfer dealer in Harvard, Mass. He tells me it is because it has a collapsable stock, this gun is post-ban so the stock is pinned. Does anyone know the laws in Mass. regaurding this type of rifle?
