wanted, this question belongs in the "wanted" ad's forum on this site. You'll have better luck there also. Good luck in your search.

I have crawled all through the Ruger website and as far as I can tell, Ruger does not chamber any version of the 77MKII in .250 Savage/.250/3000. They may have in the past, but this interesting cartridge is not a big seller. To check for ones made in previous years go to the on line acutions (preferably GB) and enter .250 Savage, or Ruger .250 Savage in the search window. It will take some sorting, but if the 77 was ever chambered in .250 Savage you will eventually find it.

Ruger made some of these years ago,in the regular 77 and the full stocked carbine. The carbines bring a premium price as they are rare. If you search the auction long enough you will see one ,also I see one in the Gunlist classified ad. paper sometimes.
Something else to think about is Remington 700 Classic (one caliber each year models) was put out in the 250 some years back. You see them listed from time to time. The factory ammo is very skimpy in different loadings and also vey anemic. If you reload you can go much hotter than factory in a modern rifle and still be safe.

    Thanx to all who responded!
My brother absolutely loves the .250 savage and when he found a source for some .250 ammo that was too hot for the old lever model 99 he loves I thought I might find a bolt that could handle the higher pressures of the hotter rounds.
I'm still trying to talk him into joining me in the .257 Wthby fanclub while I continue to look for a bolt in the .250 chambering. Thought it might be a nice B-Day gift.

    Thanx again,
    Zort
