Hey BILLINOREGON
I'm sure other guys and gals on this forum will have better suggestions than mine but first of all check your screws on the mounts, scope etc. and make darn sure you are not loose anywhere, you also must know for certain that you have a good scope on it that isn't wandering around, clean the gun if you haven't already. After you have made certain of the above try other bullet weights if Remington Core lockt is what you like try their 150 and 165 grain offerings or if you want to stick with the 180 grain weight because it's what you prefer to hunt with then try a couple different brands of that weight. In my 30/06 the ONLY thing it shoots well is 180 grain spitzer boat tail bullets, all guns are different so figure out what yours prefers.0 -
This is one of those impossible questions to answer. Even if you find 10 people that shoot that exact model they'll probably differ on what they consider to be the best ammo. It also depends on best ammo for what? Target shooting or hunting? And it depends on what you consider an acceptable group. 3 or 5 shot group?
Sounds like you need to do a little range work. And if you haven't had somebody show you the right way to lock a rifle down on a sandbag then you'll be very frustrated. And remember..it's the first shot from a cold barrel that counts. *S*0
