Rem. YOUTH 870 front bead?

I bought a HIVIZ "Spark II Front Sight". It is a threaded fiber optic sight to replace the front bead. The pkg states that it fits the Rem. 870. My problem is that I cannot unscrew the origional front bead. i bought this gun new last year. The bead just turns but does not come out. How do I replace this?

    Does it unscrew? Or, is it sauldered in place?

    If it's sauldered, how do I take it out and what kind of saulder do I use to put the new bead in?

    your front bead is staked in place, grab on with a vise grip and twist and pull. you will have to thread the hole once the bead is removed.

    Michael, Hi-Viz makes a magnetic sight that clamps down right over the bead. Remington either threaded or pressed & staked their beads, and they are easy to snap off.
