Meridian shotgun

Who can tell me anything about the Meridian Shotguns I have a 12 ga SXS, & the only thing I can find out, is that they were made in Meridian, Conn. supposedly in the same plant as the Parkers. Thanks

  shona7; I believe you have the spelling wrong...It should be Meriden Firearms Company--Meriden, Connnecticut, c.1907-09, makers of revolvers,rifles and shotguns. Subsiderary of Sears-Roebuck and Simpson-Sears Company, Chicago, Ill.
  If the shotgun in question is marked MERIDIAN then its Probably a Belguim Knockdown and only worth 1/2 as much......best...

  You have to give us the specific manufacturers markings and proofmarks on your shotgun, as there were ( 2 ) companies that traded under similar names.
  
  1), Meriden Fire Arms Co.
