Will they fit each other?

  Recon: Yes both barrels are interchangeable to the receiver, how ever the forearms aren't. Meaning the forearm for a 59 is made for that barrel and if you put a Md 50 barrel on your 59, there will be excess room on each side of the barrel. If you put a 59 barrel on a Md 50, the forearm will not go on. The 59 had a much larger barrel diameter because it was wrapped with fiberglass. Yes the fore arms will fit either one also. I know of a few people who just put Md 50 barrels on there 59's when the 59 barrel started to unravel. hope this helps you.
