Iver Johnson M-1 .22 training rifle
Guys at work are debating value of this rifle -- can anyone help them?
Is it worth $300?
Can you get magazines for it?
Many thanks

Believe this .22 carbine was either made for I. J. by Erma-Werke in Germany or I. J. assembled Erma parts in the U.S.
Both I.J. and Erma have been out of business since the 90's.
Because of the above, I don't see it being worth $300, i.e. spare parts and/or repairs MIGHT be a problem.
As far as magazines are concerned, check all the usual sources on the net. You might get lucky.

I'd say the $300 is a little high even if in good shape. You see quite a few on this great site. The problem is finding mags. They came in 10 & 15 round. Expect to pay $75 for a 15 if you can even find it. The 10s a little less, but fewer available. They're excellent shooters. 0 -
Lat magazine I saw sold for this carbine went for $75.00 per. I know this is a ridiculous and obscene amount but the buyer was willing to pay it because he needed it.HTH 0
