Broken Tap Continued

Thanks for all the tips. I was able to shatter it with a harder punch. Took more than a few try's and got it done in 1.5 hours. It wasn't easy but I was able to save enough threads to make it do. It was a 6/48 tap.

Yep that was fun.[8D] I learned a bit. I will know how to try to prevent and how to go about fixing it if it should happen again. BTW it was on an old No. 1 Mk III*. Thought it would be a good one to try out my new skills. I've got a whole $50 in it. I was prepared to weld it up and do it again.
