Good morning Iowa! Yes you are correct that is the "Y" Md 12. Looks to be manufactured in 1973. Value on "Y" Md 12's is a funny issue. Ive seen guns like yours sell for as little as $750, and as high as $1400 in the last year. Yes they were all 99% or better. If you have the original box and paper work expect it to be worth about a $1000 and up. Alot of the value on these, is the stocks and finish. The better the wood grain the more money. Also they stopped marking "Trap and Skeet" guns in the early 1950's. Winchester only put the "Duck Bill" receiver ramp on Trap and Skeet guns, when they came out with the "Y" Model, they put "Duck Bills on the all of them. So without the box or paper work you may have the Field Grade with the Standard butt Stock. If it has the Monte Carlo butt Stock it's definately Trap gun. Also all Trap guns came with the Vented Recoil pads, on the Field gun that was an option. Hope this helps you.
