    You should address this question to the Military. Maybe his company CO or the platton Sargent. I'm sure your brother can ask them and get an awnser right away. Good luck to him.[8D]

    As far as I know there are no personal weapons allowed (possible exception to snipers since their firearms are so specialized).

    that's what I was curious about. I didn't know if he could take personal weapons with him.

    Tough job!!! may god spead his safe return home, i dont think he can take personal weapons, like someone earlier stated , his 1st sargent or his CO will instruct him on policy!!! send him our best regards from all of us here at GB.COM

    Hey Klock,
    That will be covered probably by the first policy letter handed down by the General of the division he is going with. And it will clearly state, NO PERSONAL FIREARMS. Even snipers get their weapons issued. It's a Geneva Convention thing. I've been here for about 8 months and it's not that bad. If you listen to the news, you'd think it was Vietnam. Your brother will be fine, God bless him and his kids. Please tell him to kill every bad guy he gets a chance at. They don't just attack once and quit, the only way they stop is if you kill them. I'm sure he understands, but if the opportunity is there, he has got to act on it and destroy them.
