I am an equity analyst on Wall Street and am looking at investment opportunities in companies that manufacture riflescopes. One company in particular is Meade, which owns Simmons, Weaver, and Redfield. If anyone can offer advice as to the price vs. quality of their products, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. 0 -
Hello I can only speak for my self but I think both Weaver and Redfield built a better product before they were bought out by Meade and Simmons have some models that are trouble prone. In sporting goods most OLDER customers myself included would probable by a better scope. 0 -
I agree with perryshooter as well. I always watch the gunshows for pre-buyout Redfields. The quality and clarity of the older models is far superior than today's manufacture.

These two have it nailed. All are "economy" brand names these days, and with optics, you get what you pay for. They are bought by new and economy minded shooters, or those on a tight budget. Some are decent and some are junk. If I were investing in scope company stocks, I would look to Leupold and Burris, both US companies, and to Nikon. 0
