Savage Model 24, Help
I am looking for a Savage .22 Cal/20 Ga over and under that was being sold back in 1973-1974 time frame. Had a wood stock, Walnut I believe. It looks like the model 24 series but I am not sure. My father bought one for me when I was a boy and it came up missing when I returned from the military. Would like to purchase the same model for my son if at all possible. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum Canon! go to the Home page here at GB, and type in savage 24, ( I just did) there are several listed with a 20ga. barrel and various rifle calibers. Hope this helps you. Regards Dave 0 -
I believe that combo is also still being sold new unlike my favorite Savage 24 (the .22/410). 0 -
Yes, the Savage Model 24 is the gun you are looking for. In addition to on-line auctions, check out pawn shops on a regular basis in the larger cities near you. I prefer the older 24's myself. One of these in a Stevens model was my first squirrel gun in the 60's. Locally, I see these for sale every few months. Prices range from $125-$250. Good luck on your search.
