2 m4/car/ar-15questions
Ok Ive got two questions. I am a complete ar-15 virgin and I am looking at building on from a kit. Basically I am going to buy and upper kit and a stripped lower and Im going to slap em together.I am planning on building a tactical/self defense type of rifle. Now heres my questions.
1) What are the benefits to a chromelined bore and chamber which will cost and extra $45? Also, I have the option of getting a chrome bolt carrier an extra $35. Are these neccesary?
2)Im trying to build this into a tactical rig and I want a collapsible stock. The collapsable CAR style stock is standard but for and extra $30 I can get a collapsable M4 style stock. Shold I spend the extra money or no?
3) I am looking at getting a carbine. I can get an 11.5 inch barrel with a 5.5 inch flash supressor (this equals 16inches so I am ok right?). Will such a short barrel going to make the rifle innacurate for what I want it to do? Or should I stick with a 16'' barrel?
Any other suggestions?
