still confused
I've just returned from a pack trip that started before the 'assault weapons' ban expired. I've read the relevant postings and downloaded info from the BATF site. This helped, but I'm a guy who works with his hands and I need concrete examples to understand things. If someone would indulge me with answers to two questions I'd appreciate it:
- I've got a 'post-ban' Bushmaster AR15 lower that I bought a few years back. The way I read things I can now call up Bushmaster and order a 'pre-ban' configuration upper, put them together and go shooting. Am I missing something?
- The folks who advertise sales to law enforcement ('LE only')of normal capacity (read:'high capacity') magazines for pistols and rifles should now take my orders, correct?
I should mention that I live in Wyoming where, even though we have a Democratic governor, there are no state laws restricting any of this.
I'm sure this is old hat to you folks by now, but remember that I've been in the mountains and haven't heard it yet.Thanks.
