pre wwII winchester 94
I've just aquired a 1938 winchester model 94 30wcf in somewhat rough condition.
The butt stock is broken and missing the corner (the part broken off) and butt plate other wise it seems to all be there .
Any information on replacment parts. I've heard that the reciever tange is narrower on pre war 94s . I would like to restore this piece and shoot it

Hello Rob...
For original parts, watch eBay. I see decent condition stocks for Model 94s on a real regular basis. Not sure what you are referencing the narrower receiver tang to, but all of the pre-64 Model 94s were the same size (other than minor variances due to the hand fitting and polishing of the part when it was originally assembled).
