Beretta model 84 (Cheetah) questions
I'm thinking of purchasing a Beretta model 84 .380 pistol.
I believe they are now referred to as the "Cheetah",but this one is an older model 84.Not sure what letter designation as I believe there are a few different ones.
Anyhow,I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this pistol?
The frame is alloy(aluminum?)and I was wondering if it would be blued or anodized?The one I'm looking at has a scratch on the slide rail(frame)that has removed the finish...I don't think it's an actual gouge in the aluminum,but I've seen only pictures up to now.
Are they reliable?I suspect they are since they share the model 92's open slide design.
What kinda accuracy can I expect from one?
I'm also interested in their ability/saftey in firing high velocity ammo as I have read they're a "blowback" action as opposed to the bigger model 92's "recoil" action.I'm not real clear on the differences of these different styles.

can't find a way to edit my post,and I wanted to ask if the scratch is something I should be concerned about? 0 -
I've never read or heard a bad thing about them. So I bought one a few years ago, and could never get it to fire a full ten rounds without jamming. I had constant failures to feed with everything from FMJ to Hydra-shoks. I'm assuming I got a factory lemon. Traded it off for a Walther P99 Military and haven't looked back since. In a gun that size I haven't found anything more reliable than my Bulgarian Makarov.
