EAA / Baikal Over/Under Sporting Clays Model

I'm getting ready to buy the Baikal Sporting Clays moded O/U and was wondering if anyone out there owned one and could give me an informed opinion on fit and finish, performance, and handling?

  i dont have the sporting clays model but i do own the 12 ga over /under with 28" barrels.i use it for skeet shooting,for the money they are well built guns.they are really tight when you first get them but they loosen up after the are used a little.great gun for the money.don

  I've never shot a Baikal, but at serious competition, you need a sporting clays gun, mostly because of the high rib. If you plan to shoot competitively, then by all means go for it. If not, get a field model and save some money. Happy shooting.

  I've owned a Baikal for five years..hunt ducks, doves, geese, and soon pheasants. Really stiff when I first got it, loosened up after I lapped the ears. It shoots and handles really well. I'm ready to buy another in 20 gauge. Does that tell you anything?

  Most sporting clays guns do not have a high rib as clays is more like hunting. The clays gun may weigh more than the hunting model. High rib trap gunners usually have a hard time with incoming or falling targets because of the high ribs.
