Sales to C&R license holder

I have a C&R rifle that I purchased by going through a type 01 FFl. If I sell it to someone that has a C&R FFL, do I need to do anything to unregister my rifle?

  If you bought it using a C&R license you will need to show it in your book as being sold and to whom it was sold, if not then you do nothing but ship it to the ffl and provide the info he needs. You will also have to receive a copy of his license if you are shipping it.

  A few states have restrictions on certain C&R rifles; you also need to check the law in the buyers state to be sure that it is legal for him to receive it. Check "State Laws and Published Ordinances - Firearms" (ATF P5300.5).
