    I use a CVA MagBolt. It's a full size gun, but weighs next to nothing. It's a synthetic stock, so you haven't lost much if you need to cut it. I'm only 5'9" and have short arms, but it fits me fine. I'd say less than 6 pounds, and that's with a stainless barrel.

    Plus, you can get 'em for about $160[:D]

    Other than that, I think you would need to get a custom gun, which will cost you a lot.

    If you aren't too picky, Mossberg used to make a .50 cal barrel to fit on their Model 500. I dunno if they still do, but it might be worth a shot.

    I have an old H&A underhammer carbine in .45 that is a dream to carry and shoot. Kind of hard to find old ones but there is a guy building them for $250 in the white and finishing it would be part of the fun. My buggy carbine has about 19" bbl and his standard ones are a bit longer but he might cut one for a nominal cost. Try

    if you want to send the bucks T/C makes their new contender G2 in a 45 cal. black powder rifle , I have one but have not had the chance to shoot it yet , but can say that it doesn,'t weight much , has very nice wood on it and looks like its going to be a blast to hunt with , cost was just under $500 ,looks some thing like this one
