Weaver K25 Rifle Scope Value.

I recently took in on trade a Remington 721 30-06 it was an what appears to be a pretty old Weaver K25 scope on it.I was wondering if any one new what these scopes are worth or any information on them.

    this gun-scope combo should be cherished. this is hands down without doubt one of the strongest, most durable, accuratte guns ever manufactured.

    this action is used by benchrest shooters, and hold many super long distance records to this day. easily the strongest commercial action ever made, the precurser to the M24, and the venerable 700 series. very fast "lock time", and near hand made craftmanship.

    my father has a REM 721 in .30-06 with a 24" BBL (mid wieght). it will cloverleaf 3 rounds of LC69 at 200 yds from a sandbagged benchrest. these guns are often overlooked and undervalued. superb firearm, shoot it, keep it, enjoy it...

    the scope is a high quality workhorse as well. great optics, steel tube constuction, reliable design. worth around $100.00 if its NRA EXCELLANT. i own a half dozen weavers, all older models, and there worth there wieght in gold...

    this is the perfect north american game gun / scope combo.

    Thanks for the info the scope is definatly in Excellent condition it looks almost new and the gun is in excellent condition also.I have seen a few of the model 721 Remingtons on gunbroker.com and none even compare to this one.I would rate the blueing at 99% with a little wear at the end of the muzzle and it has a beutiful stock with hand cut checkering.I was just trying to get an idea of its value before I list it for sale.

    I recently bought an excellent condition Remington 721 in 30-06 with an older Weaver K-4 at a pawn shop for $350. I wouldn't take $500 for the outfit. I didn't know these came with checkered stocks. Sounds like you have a nice rifle/scope combination. It's a shame to sell it but somebody will be happy to buy it I'm sure.

    I'm not trying to rain on your parade but the older weavers scopes are out classed by most scopes on the market today. both the 721 and the weaver k scopes were very good in thier day. and neither will bring the $$$ a modern rifle/scope will. if the 721 is in .30/06 or .270 +- $300. the weaver +-$50. sure, you may get more if it's an odd cal. or you find someone looking for an old classic. good luck.

    I just stumbled on this while researching my 721 30-06.

    I got it used at a gun shop for about $250. This is one accurate gun. I don't have a scope and I don't know if I will ever put a scope on it, but with cheap surpluse ammo and dead on accuracy, its a big gun that is fun to shoot whenever.

    The checkered version is worth a premium ($35-$50) over the more common plain Jane version without checkering. If it were in .257 I would make you an offer.
