SMLE .303 magazines
Own a .303 jungle carbine. Origina mag that came with it 30 years ago
fits fine, wear and finish comparable. Two mags that i picked up at gun shows dont
fit or feed properly.
How can I determine correct magazine when ordering, or without looking like I want to work live rounds
through the action at gun shows? ttttt

Hmmm......I just recently purchased a No. mkIII*. The No 4 and 5 mags don't fit in it. Are you sure you have a No. 5 carbine. Could it be a no. 1 that has been sportirized. The reason I ask is that from my understanding the No. 4 & 5 can except the No. 1 mags. The No. 1's can't except the 4 and 5 mags. Hope that helps.[8D]
