Eric, I urge you to avoid the use of any AR magazines from USA, Ramline, Promag, or any of the other after market types since they are very trouble prone and will cause your rifle all sorts of function problems. Stick with the MILSPEC surplus magazines.

USA mags are junk. Get milspec mags. Okay, Center, Labelle, and Sanchez are all mil manufacturers. Get them on gunbroker or go to AR15.com and ask around. There are people selling them over there.

    Check out:

They are back ordered right now, but for $11.99, you can't beat them!! When I was stocking up for my AR last year I was paying $20ea for contract mags. Lets see 12 x $20 = .... yikes I spent some $$$!!!

    USA mags are junk!!

Wonder if the military is going to continue to destroy their magazines when they deem them un-useable??

I have a friend on an air base who's seen crates of magazines being destroyed and then sold for scrap....

I had problems with the USA mags that I bought several years ago. They would fail to feed, not lock up , etc. I finally gave them away with the understanding that my name wouldn't be mentioned in the same breath with these pieces of junk. The distributor that I bought them from wouldn't even talk about replacements, he said he sold them but would not replace, suggested I contact USA direct but had no phone number for them. When I finally got a number for USA and contacted them they hung up on me twice as soon as I started talking about my problems.

You might want to get a couple of them just to practice malfuntion clearances. They don't cause malfunctions on every round so they will be a little bit more unexpected than setting them up every time. Good training.
