After market safty for 7.62X54 Russian

Can anyone direct me to a sorce for an aftermarket safty of trigger/safty combination for an M44 Russian Mosin Nagant? Does such a thing even exist? Thanks

    Hi intercessor,

    I don't think you will find a safety/trigger combo for the Mosin Nagant - the Mosin's internals don't work like that.

    The safety for the Mosin is about as basic as it gets. It is enabled by retracting the rear of the bolt (that is also the rod with the firing pin and firing pin spring) and twisting it to the locked position. The safety is thus enabled and the firing pin cannot fall on a live round. It is very positive.

    There is only one after-market trigger that I am aware of. If you follow this link:

    and type in the search in the upper left corner "Mosin trigger" it should take you to the page where you will find particulars of the trigger assembly.

    Thanks guys! I have a friend building a sporter out of an M44, and he was hoping to put a safty where he could easily get to it with his index finger or his thumb. I didn't think anyone made such a thing, but I told him I would search. If folks on this forum don't know of it, it doesn't exist. Thanks
