I'm guessing it to be a BDA-380, but gives us more info

Kurt- you sure about that barrel length? Did you include the chamber when measuring?Sounds like a 1910[or the later 1955 version].

    Alle...A BDA doesn't have a grip safety.

Sorry, hangfire, I wasn't paying attention. You're right about the safety, I was fixated on the barrel length.

Looks much like any other FN Browning, but has a short slide and barrel. The barrel measures 3.25 inches. It has the grip safety and slide lock and safety. Can't find a model with this short slide in my books.

If looks like this, it's a Model 1910 Browning

Yep, 1910 it is except with Browning logo grips. My books say it has a 4 inch barrel, no pictures though, so I measured the entire barrel length at 3.25 and got confused. It is new and unfired.

Sounds like it could be a 1922, it has a grip safety. But being NB I think it may be 55 version.

    The 1922 has a 4 1/2 bbl....and won't have Browning marked grips.I think its a 1910/1955 version .

Yeah, but why do they list the barrel as 4 inches when it is barely 3.25? Serial number puts it around the last ten percent or so made before 1968. It is unfired , but no box.
