shotgun recoil
There are many recoil reducers on the market. What is the best one for a VET who has had a crushed right shoulder, and a broken collor bone? .12 ga. winchester 37A 36" barrel.
Thanks for any info.[:)]

Tell me the GOOD : BAD & UGLY about the Browning recoiless .
Thanks0 -
a .410 adapter. you can only do so much with a light weight 12ga. I've used the 'dead mule' recoil reducer to good effect in trap guns. 0 -
Not try'n to be a smarta$$ or nothin',but,I've got a 12 ga.37 and yep,it'll hurt ya.I also have friend with about the same problem as you have.He just learned to shoot left handed.

The laws of physics are difficult to bypass.
I suggest you trade in your shotgun for a Remington 1100 (especially those models that come with a rubber recoil pad). At least, that's what I did when I had recoil problems.

Thanks guys but this is turkey targets. 30 yards,,,4" circle ..most shoot in the circle.. 1100's just won't do it.
Got a 665 screw in choke averaging 45 now ,only winning 1 in 5 not good enough. need to quite flinching.0 -
Take a look at these, they perform just like they advertise. They do custom loads on request too.

Our "Lite" series in both 12 and 20 gauge have been developed with the new shooter, young shooter or anyone who needs reduced recoil without sacrificing performance in mind. Try them, you might just find that you do your best shooting with them.

Perhaps you are looking at fixing the effect and not the problem.

If flinching is the problem, then no amount of recoil reduction will solve the problem. Try pulling the trigger with your middle finger. And if that temporary solves the problem then have a release trigger fitted to your shotgun. That is if this is a target shotgun. If it is a field gun then look into Soft Touch, Edwards Recoil Reducers and others.
Your mileage may vary.

I would suggest you contact Hans Vang of the Vang-Comp Corp.
He does backboring, custom choking, and has a compensation system that dramatically reduces recoil.
He specializes in making 12 gauge shotgun barrels that will give good patterns with 00Buck shot at 50 yards. Not so far away from what you need.
