Ohio law question?

I've tried to contact the BATF with no luck about Ohio law regarding modifications to a SAR1. My question is....is it legal if you currently own an SAR1 with a welded/fixed folding stock to grind out the weld and make it fold again? I called my local gun shop and they said "yes it was legal" but I'm not totally convinced.

  I don't know of any separate Ohio laws regarding a folding stock. I can see no issue as long as your compliance parts are there.
