Savage Anschutz .22 Model 141
I put one of these .22 rifles on lay-away today. It's made in the 60's/70's I think. Anyone own one? Can you tell me anything about them, good or bad? This one is in very good condition, checkered walnut stock with rosewood forend tip.

Thanks for the reply. That's great news. I got mine out of lay-away today and just finished taking it apart, cleaning it and now that I have it back together, it looks almost like new. There was lots of old yellowed oil residue on the bolt but that cleaned easily with alcohol. The hardest part was getting the front sight hood back on. I took off the old Weaver .22 scope in 2-7 power and plan to try it first with iron sights and then mount a good quality scope. I think I'm really going to like this one. 0
