A buddy at work bought a cz 52 7.62x25 service pistol in ''like new''
condition.He say's it shoots great,no jams,smooth runner.Iwas thinking of getting one myself. I reload so round availability
isnt a problem. Is this a good firearm? Can you get high cap.mags
for it?Any info will be aprishiated,thank you.

There's nothing like a CZ-52. A hand-held, fire-breathing dragon. 1600+ fps bullet speeds. You are sure to attract attention on the range.
All mags are 8 rounds.

A 10mm, using that same length case can also do 1,600 fps using quality ammo without going over specs.
They also worked on a little bullet called a .224 BOZ which was a 10mm casing (25mm long) necked down to .224 bullet.
However, I've never heard of any guns actually being produced in that caliber.

MIne chucked the brass 25 feet over my right shoulder. Reloading can be a problem because you can't find the brass. S&B brass seemed better than the new Starline. Guns were neat, but difficult to hitanything with because they aren't exacty ergonomic and have poor sights.
Also the legs of the follower in the factory mags can be shortened to allow 9 rounds in the mags. They fed fine for me after this modification. I you made a new follower like one on the STI high caps you should be able to get 10.

I have to agree with richbug and chunkstyle, it's a fire-breathing, 25 plus foot brass ejecting, difficult to hit anything with, S&B brass was the only case usable to reload, poorly designed ergonomically, but a hell of a lot of fun to shoot. 0 -
Good gun, good plinker. I wouldn't recommend trying to shoot bullseye with 'em, but they are fun and the ammo is cheap so you don't even have to worry about reloading unless you just plain enjoy it.
Using mil. sup. ammo you will get a few mis-fires, using commercial stuff such as S&B the gun will run fine.
Only mag. option that I am aware of is the standard 8 rounder.
Biggest problem is that the firing pins are on the brittle side so if you shoot a lot (and I mean a lot) you'll end up having one break, but parts are readily available.
