States where the ban didn't go away (list)
I know NYS still has their own cosmetic ban = to the 1994 Clinton ban that we are all happy just died.
But the NY law has no expiration and is still in force. So a 'pre-ban' gun still holds some value there, as they are grandfathered just like for the now dead federal law.
Anyone know other states like this?

There's no simple answer. Some states, cities, & counties have laws that either prohibit the possession of certain items, or restrict the "import" of items not already in the locality. For details, you must read "State Laws and Published Ordinances - Firearms" (ATF P5300.5).
The important thing to remember is that state/local firearms laws take precedence over federal law within the jurisdiction.

California.
Pre-ban guns still have no value in this state, as our Ban is more restrictive(1 feature qualifies it as an AR, not 2). Any weapon that wasn't registered b4 Jan 1, 2000, becomes illegal.
its my understanding some states will allow pre ban guns to be sold and owned, and people in those states want to buy all the pre-ban guns now? is that right?0
