Need quality pictures and/or a detailed, concise description of the proof marks located on barrels and water table ( flat part of receiver, barrels rest on ).

Your shotgun would likely be of either English or Belgian, manufacture. The above proof marks would indicate which. This would determine value.

    Hello Lonny...

As Rufe pointed out, the proof marks will tell us whether it is a good quality English made shotgun, or one of the WAY more common inexpensive Belgian imports. If it has the letters "ELG" in an oval stamped on the bottom of the barrel flats, it is the latter, and regardless of the condition, it is a $100 - $200 scattergun. The vast majority of the Belgian imports are unsafe to shoot with ANY modern made shells, so please caution your friend to not try shooting it.
