Stroebel's, Scope book, ( circa 2000 ), notes that their were (2) B & L Scopes made during the 60's, with similar names. "Baltur A" & "Balfor A". The only difference is in the magnification, the latter was a 4x. He values them in the $40 to $90 range.

Also according to him B & L made both one and two piece bases for their scopes.

The B & L scope mounts are the same as Kuharsky. I don't know if Kuhasrsky made them for B & L, if B & L bought the design or what. There are two types detachable ring assemblies. The earlier one has a spring loaded rod that is depressed in to mount/dismount the scope. The later and better type has a x shaped nut that holds the ring assembly in place. The ring assembly and bases should be worth $40 or so.
