What is this? a .22 Garand?

I was browsing Garand ads on GB and found this one, a .22 Garand?

Does anyone know what make of .22 this is that's installed in a Garand stock?

Mark C, have you ever seen one of these?

I'd like to build one myself!

  Sure looks like a Stevens action like I used to have. Barrel could be the old Iver Johnson 22 military type commerial rifle they put out.IMO. That Garand he has in his other auction is very nice in its special way. nambu
