Colt Diamondback manufacture date?

Could somebody date my .38 DB serial# P45404. I've looked all over the net and can't find a serial # site. I don't have any Colt reference books. Thanks

  Thanks Mark. This is my first Colt and I didn't have any references. I guess it really didn't matter, but it is so nice, I was just curious.

  Odd? I thought maybe I misread the P for a D, but the prefix letter is a P. The link shows Ds, Ns and Rs, but no Ps. Ain't no big deal, I was just curious. Thanks Xracer.

  Hmmmmm.....I stand corrected. The Blue Book says that the Diamondback was made from '66 to '86. That site only seems to go up to 1978.
