Us firearms marked 25acp.. What is the european equivilent? 7m/m65 ? Thanks, Jim

Thanks, Kind of what I thought.. Just bought a "Baby Browning".. Marked 7m/m65.. Was told by seller 25acp. 7.65 says 32acp to me.. 25ACP's chamber and feed from mag. Confused,, Jim 0 -

Never seen that type of caliber marking "7m/m65" on a Baby Browning. Either you have a one of a kind rarity, ( Friday afternoon after (2) bottles of wine for lunch ), or a oriental knockoff. I've seen all kinds of strange markings on handguns that I believe originated in China.

Correction.. marked cal.7m/m65 left out the decimal point. Ran the serial number by Browning's web site.. They say made 1964.. Marked Browning Arms Company Made In Belgium under. All #'s match (frame/barrel/Slide). Proof marks on frame match barrel. Still confused. Jim 0 -
Welcome to the zoo, P35 . . . as always, Mark's information is absolutely correct. I cannot begin to fathom the marking you describe, but likely it is the cartridge known on this side of the pond as the .32 ACP. It's easy enough to determine this by measuring the bore, and that is a *far* smarter course of action than trying to ID it third hand here by possibly erroneous barrel markings.
