What's your experience with Sig P220?
Found a new one in stainless steel with night sights for $649. Seems nice, but I have no experience with Sig and don't know anyone who owns one. What's your experience with the P220?

I dont have any experiences with the 220, but theres always people asking these types of questions about SIGs. Pretty much everyone is gonna say good things about it. And they will also suggest you to try one at the range to see how you like it. Let's see if I'm right. [;)] 0 -
It doesn't get any better than a P Series SIG.I have several, including a P220. My current CCW is a P239.IMHO a SIG is what most semi-autos want to to be when they get things right!![8D]

The P220 is top of the line for double action automatic pistols and you would be hard pressed to find another handgun out of the box with such a high level of quality.

I don't doubt at all that its true, but specifically what's so "good" about Sigs?
I recently fired one for the first time. I dont know the model number, but it was a double-action 9mm with a decocker lever, and was described to me as the "entry level/cheap" Sig.
Nice grip, and ergonomic. . .definitely had easy to use, easy to find controls. I put 150 rounds through it without a single hitch. But I haven't had enough experience with these to know the "good" from the bad.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

You will see lots of them riding in the holsters of cops. And not because they were low-bid, either. There are cheaper guns around, but SIGs are GOOD.
My PD owns over 50 of them. They work every time. They work clean, dirty, oiled or dry.

There are no "Entry level/Cheap" SIG P Series.I would find a more knowledgeable advisor!!Like David said, if you want a pistol that fires everytime you pull the trigger, buy a SIG.They know how to design a firearm.

I have a 220 as well as a 226. I have put thousands of rounds through them and never once had any kind of problem. Of all the choices that are available, I carry a SIG for CCW. I trust my life to it. The one and only drawback that I can offer on a 220, is the number of rounds it holds.

I carried a P220 at work for about 5 years until I went to the Glock .45 for the higher mag capacity and more durable finish. Working on a motor on Pac Coast Highway was real hard on the Sig finish with the salty air. The Glock is impervious to it.
Sigs are excellent, accurate, reliable guns. You wont be dissappointed if you buy it.
