two old shot guns, What can you tell me? Damascas

I have two old shot guns that i would like to get some opinions on but I can't figure out how to add the pictures to the forum can anyone help me???

1. old 12 gauge shot gun with the markings ITHICA GUN CO., INC., Ithica, N.Y. - Patent No. 1849982-model-37 12 ga-2 3/4 chamber
It also has engraving on ducks flying out of a pond

anyone know how old it is or what its worth?


2. Double damascus barreled 12 gauge shotgun?? Looks VERY VERY OLD, Loks of engraving in the gun and on the stock, only visible markings say walmont gun company

I will gladly post pics if someone can tell me how to do it

    1. Model 37. Field gun made in almost countless numbers. Depending on condition the gun will top out at about $200.00. That would be for a gun in 90% condition. By the way... ITHACA.

    "Wilmont" is more likely what's stamped on your gun. Look for the ELG proofs under the barrels and you may be assured of an inexpensive Belgian scattergun. Unsafe to shoot with any load unless checked by a competent smith. Unsafe, then, with anything other than black powder.
    Value is minimal, but decorators sometimes foolishly part with up to a couple hundered dollars for these old clunkers.
